The key legislative acts regulating food products—including dietary supplements, foods for special medical purposes, weight control foods, and infant nutrition—that are manufactured, placed on the market, or imported (shipped) into the customs territory of Ukraine are:

• Law of Ukraine “On Basic Principles and Requirements for Food Safety and Quality”;
• Law of Ukraine “On State Control over Compliance with Food, Feed, Animal By-products, Animal Health and Welfare Legislation”;
• Law of Ukraine “On Consumer Information Regarding Food Products”;
• Law of Ukraine “On Materials and Articles Intended to Come into Contact with Food Products” (enters into force on November 19, 2025);
• Order No. 1073 “On Approval of Physiological Nutrient and Energy Requirements for the Population of Ukraine”;
• Order No. 1084 “On Approval of Safety and Certain Quality Requirements for Infant Nutrition”;
• Order No. 1114 “On Approval of Hygienic Requirements for Dietary Supplements”;
• Order No. 1613 “On Approval of the Rules for Adding Vitamins, Minerals and Certain Other Substances to Food Products”.
