On July 26, the business forum “Pharma & Cosmo Force” dedicated to issues of health, beauty and FMCG products was held
On July 26, 2018 “Cratia”, took part in the business forum “Pharma & Cosmo Force”, where illuminated the subject on the regulation in the field of FMCG was developed. Evgenia Andrushchenko, director of business development of the company, presented her report related to the issues of “Regulatory requirements for the circulation of cosmeceutical products”. Natalia Kotovskaya, the head of the FMCG department, revealed key aspects of regulatory requirements for nutricosmetics, as well as the next changes in the legislative sphere.
The business forum was attended by national manufacturers of cosmetic products and dietary supplements, who were concerned about the correct entry and circulation of their products to the Ukrainian market. In particular, it relates to such categories of products as cosmeceuticals and nutricosmetics.
As of today, these terms are very often heard in the field of beauty industry. Many foreign manufacturers actively use the words “cosmeceuticals” and “nutricosmetics” to attract the attention of the end user, while there aren’t any definitions and ways to register the above-described product categories in the legislative acts of Ukraine. In Ukraine, it is possible to register such products only as a “dietary supplement” and “cosmetic product”.
It is worth paying attention to the fact that in the near future there will be significant changes in the regulatory sphere of cosmetics, related to adoption of technical regulations for cosmetic products. Changes will affect the labeling, scope and utilization methods. It is also proposed to establish the rights and responsibilities of manufacturers and distributors of cosmetic products.
